After 6 weeks she is finally back in my loving arms!!! And I must say that the improvementsw are wonderful. It started with a terrible water leak. When cold it was fine. She wuold hold 20psi in the cooloing system all day long. Drive her for an hour and she leaked like a sieve. Then we checked the compression and the highest cylinder was 110psi. Not to mention the valve cover gaskets were shot. So we decided to get a used motor. The place my mechanic ordered it from "said" they had one in stock and would would ship it right out. They are in Miami and I'm in Tampa. 2 Weeks later still no engine. Call them back and turns out when we ordered the engine it still hadn't cleared customs so it took 3 weeks to get my motor, then it was bad. The crank bearings were done. So my mechanic called them and bitched until they sent another motor over night. So now I have a motor and all the other parts to put in but when he got to my FMIC we discovered that a JWT single POP wouldn't fit. So we ordereda Dual POP thinking that it would fit since the filters would not sit in the middle. They didn't. We ended up using everything but the velocity stack and filters from the Dual POP and found another set of filters that finally fit. Now everything is on the car and she runs like a scalded dog!!! I have never felt that kind of rush from driving a car. I was going about 60MPH across the cause-way dropped to 3rd and punched it. Before I could get off the throttle I was doing 90MPH!!! The only down side is now I have to learn to drive a stick all over again. With an Ogura Twin Disk clutch and me recovering from my motorcycle accident It's kinda hard to start off from a stand still gracefully. All that's left is a paint job and the interior and she will be complete. Someone should nominate the 300ZX TT Engineers for Saint Hood!!!!!!!
